What is SAENA?
The Small Animal and Equine Naturopathy Association has been set up to promote public awarness of natural therapies for animals, set standards in holistic animal therapy education and professional practice and to encourage governments and other institutions to accept natural therapies/medicines as a valid form of treatment.
The objectives of our association expanded:
-Promote awareness about natural therapies for animals
-Promote the issues pertaining to safety and efficiency in relation to
natural therapies and medicines
-Set standards in professional practice
-Set educational standards
-Promote a good working relationship with veterinarians utilising
natural therapies and medication.
-Encourage governments and other institutions to
accept natural therapies/medicines as a valid form of treatment
-Conduct and document research in relation to pets and
horse health issues
-Link natural therapies and treatments for pets and horses
with conventional veterinarian medicine.
-Promote critical thinking amongst members, to maintain a
high standard of clinical practice at all times and to
promote the five freedoms for animals as suggested by the RSPCA.
